18th Century Ornate French bread table 12th scale unpainted kit

The kit is made from metal alloy with a thin 3mm mdf top

The top can vary in size but is approx.

4.7" Length  x  2.7" Width x  2.7" tall

12cm Length x  7cm width x  6.9cm tall

PLEASE NOTE: during the printing, casting process we failed to note that a small petal was missing from the front of one side of the table - we have removed most of the odd one petals but some have sneaked past us. If you find that you are missing a little petal then please remove the other petal (gently twisting it -the metal will gentle break away).

The kit is fairly easy to assemble. First glue the decorative edges to the underside of the table then assemble the curly legs and bars and then glue these to the underside of the table. The flat rectangular shaped sections of metal position either end of the underside of the table. You may find that the table has to be twisted and the curly legs curled up or down a little - this is fine - the metal will not snap.

You can secure the fittings with super glue or any other glue suitable for metal bonding. I tend to use a spray that speeds up the setting time of the superglue.

It is a fiddly but simple kit and one that looks rather beautiful when painted. Preferrably spray painted if using paints to avoid clumpy build up of paints. Always use a primer on metal - if you dont the paint will easily scratch off.

The one pictured has had a coat of spray paint to the metal but yours will be in its raw state of alloy metal. I would suggest using a metal primer and then a spray coat of your favourite colour. You could age it slightly by adding a wash of lime white or raw umber.

Please note that anything in the photographs that are placed on top of the table are not included in the sale of the table.
